Cap sleeve cropped top

Since i made high waist MiDi Skirt, i was thinking about Cropped top. I never thought i am gonna make a cropped top one day and can wear it. this is not for every body shape as we know. BUT frankly it’s quite cute with high waist pants or skirts and high waist helps cropped top to wearable item. so my Midi skirt changed my mind.

Luckily Burdastyle February issue brought this little cute cropped top pattern and i could start straight forward as soon as i got my subscription. and just enough yardage of stripe cotton fabric left from my last Midi skirt project.

Burdastyle describes “This cute cap-sleeve crop top has a ¹boxy, unfitted silhouette and features edgy hemline bust darts. The top extends slightly longer in the back, while the ²center back seam is left open for a breezy on-trend touch.”

¹boxy, unfitted silhouette and features edgy hemline bust darts. I really like it. breezy and comfy. especially love hemline bust darts. it’s really cute.

²center back seam is left open for a breezy on-trend touch.  I like backless or back opened tops but i don’t think it is wearable in my real life. cropped front bodice and totally opened back bodice….it’s too much open for me. so i made a little changing in here. i attached 15cm zip. secure and easy to wear.

I gave my best to match stripes on side seam, shoulder seam and even zipper. and i am very satisfied with the result.
